The knee joint may get affected by bone tumour. This occurs due to uncontrolled or abnormal growth of cells in the bone that results in the formation of a lump.
Causes:
Although the exact cause of tumour is not known but it can be associated with genetics, radiation treatment, and chronic injuries to the bones.
Symptoms:
Tumour in the bone may cause symptoms like:
- A dull ache in the affected bone that starts off as occasional and then becomes severe and constant
- Severe pain that can wake you up in the night
- Swelling at the site of the tumor
- Night sweats or fevers
- A new mass of tissue or lump
