Wrist deformity is the malformation or distortion of the normal shape and positioning of the wrist. One such deformity is Madelung's deformity that is characterized by malformed wrists and wrist bones and is often accompanied by short stature.
Causes:
It is caused by growth disturbance and occurs predominantly in adolescent females. It often has a genetic etiology.
Symptoms:
It is a congenital subluxation or dislocation of the distal end of ulna, due to malformation of the bones. The deformity is mainly characterized by pain, decreased range of motion, and deformity.
